Ticket to Die by Elaine Calloway eBook Review

*Photo is a screen grab taken by me on my Kindle*

Ticket To Die is ghost story by Elaine Calloway. It's the second in the series, but each story in the series is different so they do not need to be read in order.

With book reviews, I always want to tell everything, but if I do that, then what's the point in reading the book? I haven't read many ghost stories(sparkly vampires? yes haha!), so I was interested in reading this.

This book is about a young woman, Amanda and her boyfriend Jake who take a trip to Alabama. They are going to an old abandoned amusement park, Amanda is taking photos of the carousel while Jake is checking out a roller coaster that crashed and killed several people. The bad news for Amanda? She can see & communicate with the dead and the spirits of the people that were killed on the roller coaster are still at the part and they need her help to cross over. Her task is to find the person who caused the crash find out the truth.

I liked this book. I would go thru several chapters at night without even realizing it. It's one that kept my attention and I didn't want to put it down. Even tho the other books in this series are not connected, I would still like to read them. If you like ghost stories, I think you should give this one a try. If you've never tried a ghost story, I think this would be a good one to try out.

* I received this eBook for free or at a deep discount in exchange for my honest opinion and review. All words are my own.*

Flea Market Finds

I like going to random flea markets, antique stores & thrift stores on occasion. Since I got into a relationship with my boyfriend, I go just about every weekend lol. He LOVES to got to all of those places and we go to at least one every weekend. Sometimes we would go to 4 or 5 different ones in one weekend. He normally finds more things them I do because he likes to collect a lot of different type of things. His favorite thing is Christmas items.

I don't really go in looking for something special. Sometimes something catches my eye, sometimes nothing does. I have a weakness for Care Bears, jewelry & makeup. I've lucked out & found all 3 one weekend! Below is some pictures of my recent goodies.

I have a tone of floating charms & when I spotted this bracelet, I knew I needed it. There was a lady in front of me who asked about it, but then put it back. I was nice & waited to see if she picked it back up, but she moved on to another booth, so I got it. It also came with a charm of my choice & I picked angel wings.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I can sniff out Care Bears it seems lol. I found this cute little lamp at a thrift stop we stopped in while waiting for pizza. I wasn't going to get it, but my boyfriend knew I wanted it & bought it for me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Another Care Bears item I sniffed out. This is an environmental Care Bear from the early 90's. I don't have any of these in my collection, so it was a nice find and very cheap at only $2.50.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I LOVE makeup. There's just something about buying new makeup that is so much fun. One of the booths at the flea market was having a special & all makeup was $1. I wanted a lot, but I limited myself to these four, plus 2 nail polishes that didn't make it in the photo. They were all sealed, but I had them all open before I could take photos.

Now if I added everything he picked out, this would be one very long blog post lol! Do you like to go to these types of places? If so, what's some of your favorite finds?

Halloween Fun From PicMonkey!

I can across a fun photo editing site & tried it out! Since I had some computer problems, all of my editing software was deleted & I haven't re installed it yet and I was looking for something simple to use to edit photos for now. I love PicMonkey! You do have to pay so much a month or year for some of the things to use, but for the simple tools I need to use, I haven't signed up for that yet, but it does look worth it. I made myself look like a vampire in about 10 minutes.

Happy Halloween! Take a little spin on the site & show me what you come up with!

Death By Chocolate Recipe

Looking for a different kind of dessert to make for a party? I'm about to share a VERY yummy one with you!

What you will need.

One chocolate cake mix.
Two boxes of instant pudding mix(a little might be left over)
Large tub of cool whip.
At least 2-3 crunch bars(or any candy bar of your choice)
One large bowl.

First, bake the cake. While it's cooling, make the instant pudding.

Step by step with photos.

After the cake has cooled, crumble up a layer in the bowl.

Add a layer of pudding until the cake is covered.

Next, add a layer of cool whip.

Now you add the crushed up candy bar.

Keep repeating the steps until you end up with the layer of cool whip and candy bars is at the top of the bowl. You will do the steps at least twice, but it depends on the size of the bowl. You can double or triple the ingredients if you want to make it bigger.

The finished result should look like this.

We have this at just about every family gathering. I made it for my boyfriend's birthday because he had never had it before & it was love at first bite! If you've never had it & give it a try, let me know what you think!
