I've Gotten A Little Behind.

I am so sorry I have been behind on reviews, my main reason for being behind is trying to slowly buy surely get moved! I do have some stuff coming in, so I do plan on trying to get all of those reviewed in a timely matter. All packages that I have for the 3 contest I have up will be kept at my aunts house so they don't get mixed in with everything else. After the last contest I have up ends, I most likely will not be having anymore until next year. I am not 100% perfect sure how long I will be away, but I will try my best not to be to long! I love blogging & sharing my thoughts with the world!

Breaking Free By SM KOZ Review

Breaking Free is a young adult novel by SM KOZ. It is an e-book.

I don't want to give a lot away, because this is a very good book & I had a hard time putting it down.

The story is about 16 year old Kelsie. She has lost her best friend in a car accident & feels it is her fault. Kelsie turns to cutting to deal with her grief. Once her step mother finds out, she is shipped off to a wilderness program. She tries to get sent home from day one, but after so long she gives in & starts to bond with most of the others that are also there. She bonds the most with a boy he nicknames JC & the two become very close. They help each other grow. A storm hits while in the woods and everything changes. Does Kelsie use what she's learned to cope or does she end up going down hill again?

Over all, I enjoyed this book. I was hooked from the beginning. It really goes into detail on how some people deal with grief and depression. I would not suggest this book for ones under the age of 15 because of some of the scenes that take place in the book. There is talk of cutting, sexual situations and other violence.

Book reviews are not my strongest point. I end up wanting to do practically a book report & give everything away.

Baby Diaper Bag By Children 'n Us Review

I am ALL about being organized & I love to organize stuff! Personally, I use this baby diaper bag in the car. It hooks on to the back of the front seat head rest perfectly & keeps things neat & not all over. It holds a lot of stuff. I like to keep wipes, snacks, water and random small things in it so I won't loose anything.

It has 4 total compartments. It is 11.8 inches by 5.9 inches. It is made of 100% polyester and is completely washable. This is perfect for when you don't want to carry around a big diaper bag. Judging by the photo, I was honestly expecting something smaller, but this is very roomy. It's also light in weight, under a pound.

I would recommend this to all of my friends, family and followers. Even if you don't have kids, it will be useful in the car or on a bike. Great baby shower gift for the mom(or dad) who already has everything. If you'd like to order one, check out Amazon now!

L.A. Colors Grafix Eyeliner Review

On the way back from a mini trip to Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg TN, we stopped at an "as seen on t.v." store. I picked up a few makeup items that I hadn't found at any other stores here. One of those items was an L.A. Colors Grafix Eyeliner. The lighting was a little off in the store & I though I got black, but I had gotten dark brown instead. To my surprise, I found more colors at Family Dollar! I haven't been in their store in a while & they a pretty nice selection of L.A. Colors cosmetics. I picked up 3 more, in teal, purple & black. I paid $2 each there, at the other store I paid $2.99.

The first thing I noticed is that they do have an odd smell to them that is hard to explain. It does go away after a few minutes. The black & dark brown are true to the color of the cap, but the teal & purple are not to the color of the cap. The teal and purple are a lighter color & more of a metallic shade. The black & dark brown have a shine when they dry. They have a felt tip line a felt tip marker, but thinner, instead of a thin brush.

This helped the black & dark brown go on better, but it didn't help with the teal & purple.

 With flash.

Without flash.

I found that the black & dark brown were thicker & went on smoother. The teal & purple were thinner & needed 2 coats. I left the eyeliners on my hand & after a few hours, the teal & purple were starting to flake off, but the black & brown had not budged at all. Out of all of them, the black is my favorite. I would use the teal & purple for an eye shadow. I normally wear eyeliner on my water line, but I have not tried the black there. I tried the purple, but it did not work.

This is 2 coats of purple. Please excuse the stray hairs, I'm still learning with taking photos of myself without doing a "selfie". For only $2, I think they were worth trying. I would recommend the black the most to anyone who is looking for a new liquid eyeliner. The black also held up the best with an overnight test on my hand. It was still on with no flaking when I got up. If you have any questions, please leave me a comment:)

L.A. Colors Mineral Pressed Powder Review.

I used to only use mineral powder, but after a while, they started getting pricey, so I switched back to liquid foundation. I found this at the "as seen on t.v." store also. They had testers out & I loved the feeling of it when I tried it on my hand. I haven't spotted this mineral powder anywhere yet & since it wasn't to bad of a price, I bought it to try out.

I like that the sponge is under the powder. The powder goes on very smooth. Normally I use Cover Girl TruMagic under foundations, but I did not need it with this. It blended in very well, no lines at all. Some mineral powders seem to sink into my pores & make then more noticeable, but this did not! In fact, I think they make them smaller. It leaves a natural look & it feels like you don't have any makeup on.

This side is with makeup.

This side is without makeup.

I didn't do any editing to the photos. Like I said in my other post, I'm still learning on taking photos of myself hehe.

I recommend this mineral powder 100%! I love it! No itching like I get with some foundations & powders. My skin didn't feel "powdery" with it. I'm pretty fair skinned, & I wasn't 100% sure with the color, but it was a perfect match. The only store I have found this powder was Lily's As Seen On TV store. I have found several on eBay, but I haven't found it anywhere else. If you've found this at a store, please let me know! Also, if you've tried it, what did you think of it?

Thanks for stopping by!

L.A. Colors Bold Lash Mascara Review.

I recently found this little mascara at the Dollar Tree & figured I'd give it a shot. I love that it's a small size mascara. I wish more mascaras were that size! The hot pink & black tube may have also helped in me picking it up. I'm a sucker for a cute package!

Before mascara.

After mascara.

Honestly, I can hardly tell a difference in them.  I do have naturally dark lashes, so for someone who has lighter lashes, this may work a little better. I put on 3 coats & it didn't cake or clump up. No over powering smell to it, very faint. It didn't give my lashes a "bold" look as the name says, but it's not bad. I think it would make a nice every day mascara or for someone who just likes a natural look. It might also be a good mascara for a girl who is  just getting into makeup.

Zep Cleaner Review

I like to clean(strange to some, I know), so when I was asked to try out Zep, I was ready! The bathroom floor is always the hardest place to clean, I don't know why, but it is. Zep, plus a Mr. Clean scrubber pad made the job 100% easier!

What I love about Zep is that it doesn't have that strong cleaner smell. It does have a slight scent, but not as strong as other cleaners. I also used very little & it went a long way! It did not leave the floor sticky feeling at all. The photos I took just do not do it justice. There are stains that won't come up no matter what you use and the lighting is very bad because the one light will not stay on unless you hold it.

As you can see, there are some stains that just will not budge. It's also very dull looking.

This is the after. I know the photos don't really show much difference, but it could be seen in person.

Over all, I am very impressed with Zep! It's easy to use and works fast, you only have to let it set for one minute before starting to clean. If you are looking for a new cleaner that does the work fast & easy, I highly recommend Zep!

Kmart Cosmetics Sale Going On Now!

Now, I can't confirm if this sale is going on at all Kmarts, but my nearest one in Bristol TN has a pretty nice sale in the cosmetics sections! I'm trying to cut down, so I did limit to just a few items I have been wanting to try. Here is a photo of what I bought.

Nicole by O.P.I. Gumdrops in My Cherry Amour- $2.99
NYC Sparkle Eye Dust in Bronze Shimmer- $1.44
NYC Eyeliner Pencil in Vampy Violet- 99 Cents
NYC City Duet 2 in 1 Lip Color in The Metropolitan Mauves- $1.49
Rimmel London Kate Lipstick in Rossetto- $2.64
Revlon Single Shadow in Seafoam- $1.50

They had a lot of other brands on sale too. More Revlon items including foundations & primers & other eye shadows. More of the Nicole by O.P.I were on sale including the Carrie Underwood collection. NYC had some other items on sale too. I believe some Almay & some other Rimmel was also on sale. This may depend on the store. Normally when I hear about sales in the makeup section at Kmart, it never hits my local one, so this was a surprise.

I also spotted some nice sales at Walgreens & I have heard that CVS will be starting their sales soon(some sale items have already been spotted. If you find anything good at any of these stores, please let me know! I'd love to know what you bought!

ClearProof By Mary Kay Review

I was really hoping this would work for me since I have such a hard time find a face wash that works. Sadly I have to report that ClearProof did not work for me. It didn't clear up any spots that I had, and a few popped up while using it & I haven't been very stressed lately. I followed all of the steps, I used it twice a day because it did start to dry out my skin. I tried the spot treatment & it did not work as fast as the old one I used.

I liked the formula of all of the products, but let me just say that you only need a very small amount of the moisturizer, a little goes a long way. The face wash is a clear gel. I did not notice any over powerful scent like in some face washes. You can read more about the set at Mary Kay. You can also get a travel sized set if you'd like to see how it works for you before buying the ful sized set.

Now, I do have Lupus. If affects my joints and skin. I get what they call a "butterfly" rash(it's shaped like a butterfly on my cheeks & nose). I honestly do not know if that was part of the problem, it could be. If anyone who also has Lupus reads this, please let me know what products you use for skin care

I know of another person who has tried this who is a little older then me & it did not work for her either. I have read where it has helped others. I think it just depends on a person skin & if they are sensitive to the products. I truly appreciate Influenster for letting me try this & I wish it would have worked.

Cheap Way To Change Up A Room

Recently, my aunt wanted to change up the wall decor in her living room & give it a little color. We looked over a lot of different photos & wall decor at many different stores, she just couldn't find anything she liked. One day, whiles at Michaels Craft Store, she found a pack of brightly colored foam sheets on sale. She had photos on the wall, but they were starting to fade & she was just going to use the part where you put the photos behind to break up the frame & have circles & squares of colored foam.

A few days after that, I was at the Dollar Tree & I found some wall stickers that were silver colored & looked nice, not overly tacky. She loved them! They were very simple designs & went great with all of the colors. After putting our heads together for a few minutes, this is what we came up with.

It was hard to get a good photo of this. Most of the photos I got had a reflection of some type from either the flash, the light in the room or the skylight. I finally got a shot from this angle that didn't have any glares. My favorite is the yellow followed by the orange one. All together, it might have taken 20 minutes & most of that time was spend getting the backs on & off the back of the frames lol. She is VERY happy with how they turned out & how cheap it was!

Beauty Haul From The Past Week

Over the past week(10-27-14 thru 11-2-14), I picked up some pretty nice beauty items, some even while on my little getaway! Just about everything was on sale or bought at the Dollar Tree.

I only took a group photo, but if anyone would like a photo of something by itself, please let me know & I will take one:)

Dollar Tree Goodies
Maybelline Dream Mousse Shadow.
Milani Glitzy Lip Gloss in 2 different shades.
e.l.f. Studio Small Smudge Brush.
Revlon Top Speed Nail Polish in Ocean(it's blocked by the foundation).

Walgreens
Cover Girl Glowing Nights Glosstinis
Wet n Wild Fergie Nail Polish x2
Rimmel London Scandaleyes Kohl Liner
Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stain.
Jordana Best Lash Extreme.

Rite Aid
Maybelline Dream Wonder Foundation.

Lily's As Seen On TV Items Store
L.A. Colors Mineral Pressed Powder.
L.A. Colors Grafix Eyeliner.

At Walgreens, I got the CG nail polish for $1.49, the Fergie ones for $1.98, twist & shine balm was $1.50(I think), the eyeliner & mascara were $2.49. I got the dream wonder foundation at Rite Aid for only $2.98 because it was 40% off & I had a $4 off coupon. At Lily's, the powder was $4.99 & the eyeliner $2.99, those 2 were bought as we were leaving Pigeon Forge, but we also have one of those stores in town, they have some pretty neat stuff.

Like I said before, if you would like more info on any of the items in the photo, please let me know. Let me know too if you'd like a review on any of them. I am planning one with the foundation, mineral powder & the mascara. I heard the mascara was almost as good as a $30 one, so we shall see!

YALMEH Super Youth Eye Cream 15g 0.5 OZ Review + Giveaway

Time for my 1st eye cream review! I get it ALL THE TIME, that I do not look my age. Not that I'm complaining, I'm sure this will come in handy as I get older! The oldest anyone guesses is 18, 19 at the most. I'm 30 & a half in case anyone is counting. They always ask, what;s your secret? Well, I stay out of the sun, if I am out in the sun, I wear the highest SPF I can find & try to find shade. I have never stepped foot in a tanning bed, I don't smoke, I hardly every drink, once every few months if that. I use green tea whipes from Big Lots to wash my face & an Acne Free Zip zapper to control those little pest.

I do have a few faint lines by my eyes, but you have to be right on top of me in my face to see them. I was given the chance to try this eye cream & I figured why not, it couldn't hurt anything! I also have dark circles under my eyes that are pretty bad from my allergies. They were so bad in school that a few people asked me if I had been in a fight.....thanks!

I've been using this for about 3 weeks & I have noticed that my under eye circles are getting lighter. I had a few small lines & they did get a bit smaller. Over all I am happy with the product. Not only could I see a difference, but my mom could also tell that the dark circles were starting to lighten up. I use very little, so I am pretty sure this jar will last me a long time. I use it at night as part of my before bed routine.

The best part of all of this, is that I am having a giveaway so you can have a chance to win your own & try it out for yourself!

YALMEH Super Youth Eye Cream 15g 0.5 OZ Giveaway I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

New Layout!

Since Halloween is over, I made a new layout. I decided not to do another holiday one tho. Just something simple for now. I might do a holiday themed one later on. Until next time my friends!

Ollie's Bargain Outlet Haul

Ollie's Bargain Outlet recently opened in Bristol VA on 10-29-2014 I used to shop at the one in Watertown NY & missed shopping there, so when I found out one was opening here, I was very excited! If you've never been to one, they have a little bit of everything. My favorite thing to buy there is books. I bought 10 books today for only $1.99 each & some of those were hardback! I love the velvet hangers, they save space in your closet & they help your clothes from falling on the hanger. I got a 10 back for $2.99. I got a portable charger for $3.99 & some snacks & candy. Everything in the photo cost me a little over $42 dollars.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet sells things cheap, but it's not because items are just about to expire or messed up. They get overstock of items, items that might have had package change or maybe a tiny flaw with stitching that doesn't really matter. The one that just opened up had a lot of jeans for men. The label of the brand is cut off/out, but they said if you look at the button that you could find out the brand. Most of the clothing that had in were for men, but I personally do not mind wearing guys shirts, I find them more comfy! If you have a Keurig, they have the big boxes for pretty cheap!

Check Ollie's Bargain Outlet to see it there's a store near you!
