Revlon ColorStay Gel-Smooth Base Coat & L.A. Colors Pro-Gel Topcoat Review

I don't do a whole lot of reviews on nail polish, but when something really works well, I feel like I need to share. I found the Revlon ColorStay Gel-Smooth Base Coat at Big Lots for $1.50 & the L.A. Colors Pro-Gel Topcoat at Family Dollar for $2. The nail polish I used is also by L.A. Colors in "sunkissed".

These are my nail after a week(I didn't think of getting a before because I'm "smart" like that lol!). This was after swimming, cleaning, showers, hair washing(I have long & thick hair), arcade game playing & more. I really didn't expect it to do so well because I've never had any luck with other "gel" type nail polishes or topcoats. 

The base coat looks like a milky color, but it goes on clear. It did smooth out a few ridges I had in my nails & it dried pretty quick.

I thought this was a nice fall color & it worked with all of the outfits I took to Pigeon Forge TN. 

I'm not sure how new this is, but I just found it 2 weeks ago. It was in a plastic package instead of just being with the other polishes. It left my nails very shiny, The shine did tone down some over the days, but still had more shine then the nail polish alone. This is the best topcoat that I have tried. I didn't take very long to dry. This will be my go to topcoat from now on!

 I've heard that some people didn't care for it to much because it's 3 sample sizes & a lot of people already have the NYX pencil in Milk. I for one, love the box. Travel sizes are the perfect size for me because I can never finish a full size item without it going bad because I like to try new stuff. I also didn't have the NYX pencil, in fact this is my 1st NYX product! I will try to post a review on each item I try. If you got this box, how did you like everything?

Old Factory Candle Gift Set Review

I recently received some wonderful candles to review. Before now, I had never heard of Old Factory Candles, but I am so happy to have been given the chance to try them! I chose the New Born Baby scent. The scents included in this set are, baby powder, baby shampoo & first blanket.

Out of the 3, Baby Shampoo is my favorite. They are all very true to smell in the jar and while burning. This set smell is not overwhelming, which is very good for me because I suffer from very bad allergies. They have a soft & calming aroma to them. They burn clean & evenly, no "pits" like some candles. They are made with natural soy wax and they have self trimming wicks. They might be small, but they burn for up to 20 hours!

ClearProof By Mary Kay Mini Update

I just wanted to give a small update on the progress so far. I've been using it for about 5 days now. So far I haven't seen any changes in my skin. If fact I had 2 little pesky pimples pop up. Now that could be from stress, reaction to my new blanket, a number of things really, so I'm not going to blame the product. I am going to give it more time to see if there is any improvement. I didn't notice any scent to it, which is good. The moisturiser leaves my skin feeling very soft. Once the 30 days are up, I will give a complete & honest review & hopefully some photos(ekk!)

Unboxing of ClearProof From Influenster & Mary Kay

This is the very 1st time I have ever done a video! I'm a very shy person & felt awkward trying to film myself, so I just took photos & made the video that way. I'm sure over time that I might suck it up & do a "real" video. I know it's not the best, but it was fun learning how to use Movie Maker! I will be doing a full review of ClearProof after I have used it for 30 days. Until then, here is my little video.

Hit by Lorie Ann Grover Review.

Hit is a book about a girl named Sarah who is a senior in High School. She has a crush on her poetry teacher & plans on giving him a poem. He life changes completely before she can even get on the bus for school, she gets hit by a car as she crosses the road. It turn out to be her teacher that she wrote the poem for has hit her. Sarah's family grows closer as they help her fight for her life.

I really enjoyed this book. It really grabbed my attention and I had a hard time putting it down because I had to know what was going to happen next. I thought it was very well written, I was able to easily tell who was speaking. It gave great details, so It was pretty easy to picture the story in my head. It shows how easy life can change within a blink of an eye. I do wish that the book was longer. I would like to know what happened after the last chapter. I would 100% recommend this book!

Pepperoni Make-N-Bake Pizzas By Family Finest

Pizza is pretty popular in this house. I found these during my last trip to Walmart and decided to give them a try. 

They are made by Family Finest. In the box you will find 4 individually wrapped pizzas, 4 sauce packets, a large bag of cheese & a package of pepperoni. I'm sure you could add any other toppings you might like. I like extra cheese & put extra on all four and still had cheese left over. They are fun & easy to make with the family. Depending on how fast your over cooks, they take 7-10 minutes & you can cook all four at one time, or just one at a time.

This is how it looked when it was finished. They taste great! The sauce has just a tiny bit of kick & I think that's what sets it off. I had them made in no time & they were also eaten in no time! I bought them for $5.50. I will most definitely be buying these again. I read on their website that they also have cookies to make like the pizzas, so I will be on the hunt for those next.

Care Bears Flavored Lip Gloss Set

It's no secret that I LOVE the Care Bears! I've loved them since I was little. I have been a big collector since 2003. I have over 100 bears & who knows how many odds & ends of Care Bear items I have so far! If there's a Care Bears item in the store, I will find it lol! So, when I found these lip glosses at Dollar General the other day, I couldn't say no.

The price for these? $2 for the set! They also had single glosses that rolled on & "slap" bracelets that came with 2 lip glosses that connected to it. They were also $2 each. Each one has a different flavor.

It says for ages 3 & up on the box. I think they would make a perfect gift for the little girl in your life who likes makeup. They are all clear colored gloss, so no messy colors! I didn't find them to be sticky, but it may vary. I know they are aimed for younger kids, but I plan on using them for myself & I see nothing wrong with us kids at heart using them!

Also, if you or someone you know is a Care Bears fan, check you local Walmart for this cup. I found it in the wrapping paper & gift bag aisle. It was around $1.50. I love how it uses the original Care Bears on it!

Custom Facebook Timeline Covers

I like creating things using PaintShop Pro. Back when MySpace was popular, I designed layouts, page graphic, tags & I used to make blinkies(I no longer have animation shop). Since about 06-07, I have downloaded over 100 digi scrap kits, tubes, brushes, fonts, etc. I have an external disk drive holding everything, that's how much I collected over the years! I was thinking maybe I could offer to make custom Facebook Timeline covers. I know I'm not the best at making things, but I put my heart into it. I don't plan on charging because a lot of the scrap kits & tubes are not for commercial use, but I can put up a link if you would like to make a donation for my time only. 

I do plan on uploading some of my work if people are interested. It does not have to be timeline covers for just fan pages, it can be personal pages. I can add photos & saying that you might like. I will have a limit of so many at a time so I won't get in over my head or get things confused. Like I said before, I will not charge, but donations for the time I spend making them are always appreciated. If I get enough people interested, I will make a page on here with the info & a donation button. 

I will be back to doing some reviews very soon! In fact, I have a list of what I'm needing to do! I do plan on having a few giveaways soon. I will have one here, on my Facebook page & on Instagram. They won't be huge prizes, but just a little token of my appreciation to my readers & followers!

One Direction Our Moment Body Spray

I am very picky about scents, the main reason is allergies. Going down a perfume/body spray aisle at a store can be trouble sometimes. I have never smelt any of One Directions perfumes before, but the can got me, so I figured, lets give this a sniff. I was very surprised that I liked it! I figured it was going to be another over powerful scent. Now this is the body spray, I'm guessing that it smells the same as the perfume. 

I'm not good at describing how things smell, so I looked up the notes on the Walmart website. It describes the scent as top notes of lush forest fruits, red current, jasmine, freesia & an exotic patchouli when it dries. It kind of reminds me of Victoria's Secret Pink "Fruity & Bright" body spray. I love the crown design on top, I think that's what got me! There is no cap on it, so it's  likely, someone might have already tested it unless you get it from the website. The crown topper does not get in the way of spraying it. I bought it in the store, I tried to find the one that looked less sprayed, some of the others had a "wet" look around the spraying part. I'm not a fan of the band, but I am a fan of this body spray!

Hail Merry Macaroons Review

I recently received a free sample of Hail Merry Macaroons to try out & review from Swaggable. I got the chocolate flavor. I had mixed feelings on these. I love chocolate & I love coconut, I think what got me is the texture. I thought they were a bit on the gritty side. They did not have a bad flavor, kind of a dark chocolate, but just a hint more bitter. I could definitely taste the coconut in them. I like that they are gluten free(I'm supposed to be a on a gluten free diet, but shh..).My mom & aunt also tried a bite, but they were not fans. Over all, I didn't think the taste was to bad, but I don't think I would buy these unless they were on sale or a gift. If you also received these, what was your opinion on them?

Cover Girl Makeup Prize

A little over a month ago I entered a contest on Cover Girl's Instagram to win a prize pack with some of their new makeup. I got a DM(direct message) on Instagram from them saying I might be a winner & they asked for my mailing info in case I won. Well, I have the mind of Dory sometimes & completely forgot about it. A few days ago I got a package & it was my prize!

I received two nail polishes & a lip gloss. I was sent two of the orange shade nail polishes, but I was able to trade for a different color with a friend. I noticed on Instagram that the winners got either two nail polishes & a lip gloss, or two lip glosses and one nail polish. I haven't tried them yet, but I plan on using the nail polish the next time I do my nails & I will post a blog on how it is. It says "nail gel" on it, so I'm guessing it's supposed to last longer maybe? We shall find out soon!
